Cutting, Tailoring & Dress Making

Duration of course - 3 months Introduction to the course – Clothing   is   one   of   the   basic   needs   of   human being people one becoming fashion conscious. With   change   in   fashion   &   style,   the   stitching   of garment   also   changes.   Hence   keeping   in   view the     market     demand     and     change     fashion technology,    courses    on    cutting,    tailoring    & dress   making   have   been   suitably   designed   in the    structure    of    non    formal    education.    The beneficiaries   are   new   literates   and   people   with low     education     levels.     Besides     in     Indian tradition    girls/women    are    expected    to    know tailoring      to      fulfil      the      basic      stitching requirement   at   home.   Stitching   of   garments   at home    is    a    money    saving    device    for    lower middle   income   group.   Besides   tailoring   can   be a vocation for self employment.

Beauty Culture

Duration of course - 6 months Essential Theory hours - 40 (6 months) Essential Practical hours - 160 (6 months) Introduction to the course – In    this    modern    time,    people    are    concerned about    their    appearance    &    thus    pay    great attention   to   their   body,   dress   &   makeup.   There has   been   a   steep   rise   in   people   visiting   beauty parlours/saloons/clinics   for   taking   the   services of    beauticians    for    makeup    hair    cutting    & setting,    application    of    hair    colour/dye    etc. Makeup   &   hair   dressing   has   become   a   part   of daily     life     special     among     working     girls     & women.    Thus    one    can    find    such    parlours    in every   locality. This   has   created   a   great   demand for   trained   personnel   in   beauty   culture.   There are    good    employment    opportunities    in    this trade.   Keeping   in   view   the   modern   trend   in beauty    culture    &    the    demand    for    trained personnel.   This    cause    in    beauty    culture    will contribute     immensely.     The     course     include components    like    make    up,    bleaching,    hair styling,     cutting,     dyeing,     massage,     Mehndi applications etc.

Women Digital Literacy

Empowering Women in Rural India through Digital Literacy  The      Computer      Concepts      (CCC)      course      of     DOEACC        provides        an        introduction        to computers.   The   course   will   cover   the   following topics. a.   Introduction to Computer b.  Introduction to GUI based Operating System c.   Elements of Word Processing d.   Spreadsheets e.   Computer Communication and Internet f.    WWW and Web Browsers g.   Communication and Collaboration h.   Making small Presentations 1.   The above course is of 80 hours duration  2.     The     Course     on     Computer     Concepts     is available in English & Hindi Benefits of undergoing CCC certification 1.     After   completing   the   80   hour   course,   which will          be     delivered     at     the     Centre,     the participant   will   be   able   to   use   the   computer for the following activities: a)   Prepare personal/business documents  b)   Manage spreadsheets c)   Create presentations  d)   Browse the Internet e)   Communicate via email 2            Certification   on   the   CCC   course   of   DOEACC is also likely to benefit the trainees in the form        of        better        employment        prospects      include      some      Government      jobs      for      which     CCC   certification      is      a      requirement      .      Further     Government of  India  is  undertaking  many  e- Governance         programs         in         Rural         India        which   should   create   many   employment opportunities       for       women       with       CCC certification.
